Introducing G{Code}’s Changemakers: Kayla Joyner

I come from a non-tech background and really wanted a comfortable space to explore my interest in coding. After talking with Rizel, G{Code}’s head of curriculum, I felt that G{Code} would be a great place to start, especially for absolute beginners like me.

Watching one of the mentors, Alex, make a peanut butter sandwich like a computer as an activity to teach us about algorithms.

I learned that I’m an interactive learner. I learn best by asking questions and using analogies. Coding with G{Code} made me confident that I can do other types of coding too! I just need to find places that work with my learning style.
